Introducing Black Tea Youth Enhancing Oil

Face oils have been picking up popularity in the last few years, and rightfully so! Their unique composition and properties make them uniquely suited to help you care for and maintain your skin’s health.

But whenever you are introducing a new type of product in your skincare routine, there are, no doubt, going to be questions:

  • Can I use face oil if I have oily skin?
  • Where does face oil go in my routine?
  • Why is face oil good for the skin

No worries. We’re getting to that next.

What’s “oil” this noise?

Face oils are super nourishing for your skin. Not only can they deliver key ingredients to your skin, but they hydrate as they go. Their properties as oils make them easy for your skin to absorb quickly and thoroughly, sealing in moisture at the same time. Face oils can help to fill in the little gaps that all your other products can’t quite reach.

A product like INNISFREE Black Tea Youth Enhancing Oil is a wonderful place to start with face oils. Like other products in the Black Tea Youth Enhancing line, it is formulated to reset signs of tired skin thanks to the inclusion of Reset Concentrate™.

Benefits of black tea

The key ingredient of the Black Tea Youth Enhancing line is in the name: black tea. The Jeju Black Tea Extract used is fermented from Beauty Green Tea and is rich in antioxidants. By delivering this to your skin through a face oil, you’re allowing the antioxidants to penetrate deeper, boosting your hydration and radiance

Where do face oils go in my routine?

This will depend on the type of face oil we’re talking about. It’s common to be advised to use face oil as the last step of your skincare routine after moisturizer to seal everything in. However, a light, almost watery oil, like the Black Tea Youth Enhancing Oil can offer a little more flexibility.

For most people, incorporating the oil after toner and before your routine’s ampoule or serum step will deliver the most optimal results. Because of its lightweight texture, it isn’t advised to use this particular skincare oil after a heavy cream. You can bring it in after the lotion step, or before the cream step.  Oils and creams are both occlusives that form a layer on your skin, so following a thick cream with this may negate its benefits to stop it from entering your epidermis

An oil for all

In addition to using it in your skincare routine, you can also mix face oils with your foundation for a subtle glow or mix it with your body lotion to enhance its moisturising properties.

Facial oils can do a lot of good, but it’s always a good idea to monitor the state of your skin whenever you incorporate a new ingredient. Pay attention to changes in how your skin looks and feels and always come in for a patch test if you can to make sure you’re investing in something that you know will last for you.

You ready to go “oil” in?
