How to Care for Your Skin During Ramadan

From Sahur to Iftar and everything in between

Ramadan Mubarak, INNI-friends!

Today, we get to talk about cultivating a skincare routine to keep your skin healthy and well-nourished as you fast this Ramadan.

Hello Hydration

I think we all saw this coming! One of the most important parts of a Ramadan skincare routine is good old-fashioned hydration. This means trying to get in your daily requirement of about 2 litres of water during your sahur and iftar, but it also means picking the right products to keep your skin well moisturized.

Proper hydration and moisturization is the bedrock of a strong moisture barrier - your skin’s first line of defense!

For this, I will always recommend something light and easy to absorb like the Green Tea Seed Serum. Meant to be used right after cleansing, this pre-serum is imbued with humectants (water holding) ingredients like hyaluronic acids and glycerin to help your skin better absorb and maintain its water content during the day, and encourage a replenishing of moisture at night.

Rest to Reset

Good quality sleep is such an important part of a healthy routine, but it becomes even more important during the month of Ramadan. Proper rest leads to healthier, more resilient skin, and something like the Black Tea Youth Enhancing Ampoule can do wonders to encourage skin cell turnover.

Thanks to the antioxidant properties of its Reset Concentrate™ and its Night Defense Formula™, this anti-aging ampoule (more concentrated than an anti-aging serum) helps to replenish and reset the signs of tired skin as you get your beauty sleep.

How do I make sure I’m looking my best?

Good maintenance is always important, but what if you’re looking to take your skin to the next level? Perhaps, I can direct you to a product like the Retinol Cica Repair Ampoule which has been formulated to provide relief for skin concerns and to help reduce the appearance of blemishes - a great pick as you prepare for the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations! We have a whole post about getting ready for Raya with this product which you can check out here!

Also, and I should never neglect to mention that, sun care is key! Make sure you’re always applying sunscreen to ensure your skin is safe and protected from harmful UV rays!

It may be helpful to think about it this way: during the month of Ramadan, your skincare routine should mirror a healthy diet - good hydration, nourishing ingredients, and good quality sleep so you can get up and do it all over again the next day.
