How to Recycle Your INNISFREE Empties

There’s no better time to reflect on the importance of caring for our planet than what should be the cleanest and greenest month of the year! But of course we must not and cannot limit our eco-conscious choices to just one month. Our home world is counting on us!
One of the ways that INNISFREE works to care for the planet is through our BOTTLE RE:PLAY programme and today, just like an INNISFREE empty, we’re going to go through the whole process!
Step 1: Take Apart
When you’ve used up all the goodness of your INNISFREE product, the first thing you’re going to want to do is take it apart! Dismantle the caps from the bottles before you pass them to our beauty advisors to recycle. And if your product came in a tube, break out the scissors! We’re going to need unfettered access to its insides!
Step 2: Take a Bath
Although recyclable containers do get washed before they are processed, it’s important to give them a good clean! This is because it can take some time for them to get to where they need to go and, in the meantime, we don’t want the last few drops of a product to turn or grow mold.
Step 3: Take a Break
A good wash must be followed by a good dry! This is the best way to prevent the proliferation of odors and the growth of unexpected friends! ???? I can be a little impatient with this step, myself, but it is important! Give your containers a good shake, and then leave them in the sun on a warm day or under a fan.
Step 4: Take Responsibility
Bring your clean, dry, and empty containers to the INNISFREE store closest to you! The BOTTLE RE:PLAY campaign is ongoing all year and will allow all INNI-friends to recycle up to three empty containers (in exchange for points) every month!
Your old containers and bottles, once processed, are free to become something new! You may have seen some of our keychains, tube squeezers, and soap dishes created from old INNISFREE bottles and containers but, most recently, the brand has been incorporating these materials into new product bottles such as the jumbo sized Green Tea Seed Hyaluronic Serum available now!
So if you’re sitting on a couple of empties, give them a good clean and bring them into any INNISFREE store! You can earn up to 100 membership points for each empty you bring in (up to three empties per month), but if you keep an eye on ongoing special promotions, there may be even more benefits to claim such as free gifts or double points! Most importantly, you’re doing your part for the environment!
